Friday Happiness

Friday, February 28, 2014

I still have posts I need to get out about events that went on this past week, but I will go for my friday favorites before posting those!

[One] We got back to Texas from Florida Tuesday night. (cue tears.) We left beautiful weather for some crazy cold front that came in. Although, I am waiting on anyone to take me back to Florida any minute I am happy to be back on a routine. Vacation is so nice and just do whatever you want. but having your routine back makes for an easy day.

[Two] I went a little crazy at Target and the 40 extra % off sale at Dillard's for our little girl this week. Found so many cute little things. I am trying to steer away from onesies since I know I will get a lot at the shower. Now, let's just hope she is still a girl come March 6th at our next appointment.

[Three] I took Brad to his first Rodeo/Fair last night and he absolutely loved it. Bull riding is always my favorite and now it is his! We ate tons of fair food. It probably wasn't a good idea now that I think about it. I will do a big post about the Rodeo/Fair soon! Keep a look out.

[Four] This new Baby Lips Dr. Rescue lip balm has me hooked. You can get it in 6 different shades, but the Just Peachy is my favorite. I normally use the EOS lip balm, but it hasn't been working for my lips as I've been going in and out of different climates.

[Five] I LOVE SPECIAL VISITORS. In about two weeks my sweet best Ashley is coming to town from Lubbock for a girls weekend! I haven't seen her since January so am very excited. My brother Brady shows up to spend a week with us March 15th! Now that makes me double excited. It is going to be a fun week in a half with two special visitors. My brother hasn't been here since Spring Break 3 years ago. We have lots of fun activities planned that I'm sure I'll post about also.

Be sure to link up with all of the friday fun!

Plus I'll be registering possibly this week and need help!

[One] Boppy Newborn Lounger
[Two] Madela
[Three] 4moms Mamaroo
[Four] Britax B Aglie Travel System
[Five] Dr. Browns Natural Flow Bottles

Is there anything you other mommas have advice on that I should need? Possibly even things I have here that I really won't use? I am all about practical and useful!

Five on Friday

Friday, February 21, 2014

WELL, HELLO FROM BEAUTIFUL FLORIDA!

Extremely late on 5 on Friday and MIA from this blog life. SO many times the whirlwind of life has me caught up and I don't sit down to write. Mainly this post is a photo dump. Pictures sometimes do better talking.

{ONE} We FINALLY made it to Florida late Tuesday night and boy was I glad. I not only was back with my sweet husband who left a few days earlier, but it was BEACH TIME! I actually braved getting into a swimsuit and showing off that almost 19 week bump. My little girl seems like she has grown so very much with how huge my belly feels since 16 weeks.
Almost 19 weeks, woah baby!

I guess mom was saying, "It's a baby in there!"

My mom, my sweet cousin Makenzie, and I.

{TWO} After the beach we went to Snow Balls. This is the most amazing snow cone place in the Madeira Beach area. Snow cones in February is my cup of tea. You can get ice cream with your snow cone and even get it spiked! Which I have yet to experience. Maybe after this sweet babe is born and we are back in October.

{THREE} Thankful to be with my family during these times of my Grandpa having surgery and my Uncle. We are blessed with God fearing friends/family that prayed their butts off. Please to report that both are home from the hospital and recovering miraculously! Praise you Jesus!

{FOUR} My sweet sweet grandma turned 79 today! I woke up to go grab her Starbucks and Flowers. We did lunch just some of us girls in the family and had a party/dinner tonight. She is truly one of the most amazing women I know. I just love her to pieces. So pleased we could be here for her birthday.
Birthday princess with her coffee :)

{FIVE} I can't help, but continue to thank God for having us home during all of these times. By no means would I wish Brads injury, but let me tell you the Lord had some other plans in mind. Learning to be open and follow the Lords plan not my own has humbled me. Being home during my pregnancy has brought me amazing amounts of comfort. Our family has blessed us this week with so many awesome things for sweet baby B. Blessed beyond belief and can't wait to see the next place the Lord takes us after baby B is born!

+ I'll be back soon with updates and tons of photos of the rest of our Florida trip. I don't think I'm ready for reality come Wednesday!

Love is in the air.

HAPPY SUNDAY!

Sorry I had been a little MIA, but this week has seriously been jam packed and it'll continue until we go to Florida!

Nope, this isn't JUST a Valentine's day recap post, but about the things that keep love in the air in my life. Not just romantically either.

+My moms friend Brandi, my dad, and I planned to throw my mom a surprise 50th birthday party on this past Thursday(13th). Well, it happened and IT WAS AWESOME. Still trying to get the video of her face and reaction when we walked her in. She has never had a surprise party or even a party in her adult life. It was amazing to see all those show up that love and care for my mom. So many came and I was blessed by that. You tend to see how much others truly love and appreciate your mom by just stepping back and watching. Here's two little snip-it pics. We themed it purple and pink with tons of food and sweets!

+I went out on a search to find my two girls I nanny some cute, but useful Valentine's goodies. I came up with a little box filled with pencils, crazy toppers, EOS lip balm, chocolate(One wanted kisses and one wanted the bar Hershey's. Why it matters I have no clue.) and socks. They were extremely excited about the EOS that I could of probably just got them that. They kept saying, "This circle Chapstick thingy blows my mind!" They truly light up my days. I then took them by House of Faith where my mom works so we could play a little basketball and my mom gave them a goodie. We then sweated ours butts off at the park. I love Fridays with them. Here's there goodies...

+Brad is always very adamant on Valentine's being my holiday and so not to get him anything. Well I always make him some little goodies. Last year I did 14 days until Valentine's and left a treat and note every day. This year I left Brad his Valentine's goodie out for when he woke up to go to work in the AM. Thanks to Pinterest I was able to make it on the computer at very low cost.
He is a fishing nut BTW.

+Let me brag on my sweet husband. Not only does he send sweet texts daily and always make me feel like the most important girl in the world, but on Valentine's he literally planned every aspect of my day. He started by leaving me Flowers(inc. Tulips, MY FAV), a teddy bear that reminded him of our pup Allie, a balloon, a card(inc. a Chick Fil A GC for my lunch), and a drawn out list of what my day would be. I first went with my momma to get a mani/pedi. Then, I got my eyebrows threaded(which still hurts like crap) and to pick up my Chick Fil A while at the mall. At 12:30 he had me go to TIny Toes Sono to get an hour prenatal massage that was absolutely AMAZING. The massage table even heated up and I got to hug a pillow and have between my legs while on my side. Which btw is my favorite sleeping positions. I then had to go to work so he made sure to tell me to be ready by 6 for dinner at Bonsai, our Hibachi place. I got so so excited and picked out my outfit before going so I could get ready quick. Brad had previously bought our movie tickets to see About Last Night after dinner. I just adore Kevin Hart and Michael Ealy so I am a huge fan of that movie! It was sweet and funny. We got our Frosty fix after the movie before heading home. I truly adore the times with just Brad and I. I could stare at him and talk to him for hours. Our day was sweet and so meaningful. More than any actual present I could have recieved! Love you sugar foot.

+I'll leave you guys with these two beautiful pictures of West Texas Sunsets I saw this week. I rarely get to catch them and when I do I realize they truly are gorgeous. This and beach sunsets are on the top of my list.

Hope you guys have a blessed Sunday! I'll be back soon, but reporting from Florida!

It's the little things: Week 3

Wednesday, February 12, 2014

I have tons of blog posts pending for me to finish and work up, but I just haven't wanted to post them yet. With that being said I am so glad it is Wednesday again to link-up with Ashley and Jessica for It's the Little Things! Make sure you guys join up and link too!

Yesterday we had almost everything shut down due to black ice. So, I got to spend the day curled up watching TV/Movies with my husband and mom, ALL DAY! It was the nicest day. Since I nanny and school was cancelled the dad stayed home. It was extremely too cold for Brad to go to work since he works outside. My dad braved the roads to get us a few goodies from a close by store and take us to Taco Tuesday at Rosas for dinner. Wait, who am I kidding he is a yankee and was so pumped to drive in it.

Sadly, back to reality today. My awesome husband will do anything for our little family and is working since 7:45 am in 20 degree weather. He is such an amazing man. Everyday when I hear his alarm go off he gets up instantly. I am so not that person. He never complains and truly enjoys this job while he can't play ball while rehabbing. Our sweet baby girl and I are two of the luckiest girls.

The little things of a "ice" day home make your week and get you ready for the soon to be warm weather to hit! Hope all of you are having an awesome week! It's almost Valentines and the weekend!!

16 Week Bump Date & It's A……...

Wednesday, February 5, 2014

How far along: 16 weeks

Size of baby: Avocado

Baby's size and weight: 5.5 ounces and about 5 in long!

My total weight gain: 2.6 pounds

Baby's development: OMG how much the babe has grown in three weeks! I could see every bone and how much movement when we saw. Also, saw sucking and crossing the legs at the ankles. Such a personality already!

Stretch marks: None.

Wedding Ring: On, but gone to the shop for 2 weeks :(

Belly Button: In still!

Maternity clothes: Bella Band

Gender: LOOK BELOW!!!! :D

Movement: Felt one flutter, hurry up and grow babe!

Sleep: Still sleeping all the time!

What I miss: Energy!

Food cravings: Frosty's still, but Vanilla light & fit greek yogurt has been able to curve some of that.

Symptoms: Stuffy nose is it!

Brad is: so excited and surprisingly overly pleased with the gender results!

What I'm looking forward to: A beautiful growing baby!

Best moments: Seeing our sweet babe on the screen today! You could see all of the bones, the little brain, sucking the fists, and THE GENDER!

First of all, why did I think I could wait a few days to reveal the gender?! So with all the votes casted on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and here on the blog Girl votes out weighed the Boy. We all know how badly we wanted a boy, but I always have said either gender has already stolen my heart and we will be so pleased! So…….

Look at that little pout.

Allie is so thrilled to be a BIG SISTER!

We had so much fun with our friend Mindi messing around and taking these photos! SHE IS AWESOME! We are SO very excited to know we are having a baby girl and now we won't call her it or he anymore. Brad took it surprisingly well with how much we wanted a boy. Our girl will be healthy and I know the most beautiful babe I will ever lay my eyes on! God has blessed us with the most amazing news and journey!

Thank you for all voting and sharing in our wonderful news with us!

It's the little things: Boy or Girl?!

I guess technically this could be considered a HUGE thing, but we are headed to find out if our sweet babe is a boy or girl today! A little huge thing I am also excited about is that My sweet husband is off work until after the appointment to spend the morning with me and be at the appointment! Also, my mom and dad are leaving work for a bit to come! What do my lovely fellow bloggers think?

The placenta was on the right side of the baby when looking at the sonogram.
The heartbeat is 167.

I could hardly sleep last night and when I did I dreamt about finding out. Now I'm up and ready to scream it! I've heard from multiple people to drink tons of water and some Dr.Pepper on the way to the appointment You bet I am doing it! Don't want my little one hiding their goods from me.

Don't you worry come Friday I'll have a sweet announcement for you guys! Cast your vote! :)

Be sure to link up with everyone else over at Words About Waverly and Sadie Sky Boutique for it's the little things Wednesday!

Ulta Haul

Tuesday, February 4, 2014

I don't know about you guys, but I love Ulta. When San Angelo finally got one I was stoked. It was nice having one in your college town and then you go home to nothing.

Well, I have an Ulta card and get those every 2 week coupons so I had an excuse to go spend some money.

[From Left to Right]
Rimmel Stay Matte Primer- I had seen on a blog somewhere (hello, pregnancy brain) about Rimmel carrying primer. I saw today that they had a matte one which helps prevent shine for up to 8 hours. I had to jump on that. I am one of the shiniest T zone girls on earth. Thanks dad.

Olay Sensitive Cleansing Wipes- I always use make-up remover cleansing wipes at night when I am lazy and then I use them when I get out of the shower because face wash never fully gets everything off. Well, since the pregnancy my skin has been super sensitive so decided to try these. I mean I used to use Noxema Blackhead Pads religiously and my skin screams now.

Ulta Blender Sponge- Once again saw this on a blog. My friend Kelsey talked about an off-brand sponge and so could not wait to purchase it. Not sure if this is the exact on she was talking about, but it had the same directions and look as the other. You get this little piece of magic damp and dap it into your make up and blend it across your face. The point is awesome because it helps get under your eyes, around your nose, and by your hairline.

Batiste Brown tinted Dry Shampoo- I have used this stuff for about a year and it is GOLD! I hate all the others that leave a white residue in my dark hair and even smell funky.

New L'oreal Butterfly Mascara- I am a sucker to try every and any new mascara. I of course saw this on a commercial and was sucked in. I already use all L'oreal mascaras so surely it won't let me down.

What are your favorites you pick up at your Ulta store? Anything I shouldn't live without?
