Let's Fla'mingle' with Brynn - A First Birthday

Tuesday, July 28, 2015

On friday our sweet Brynn turned one.
We celebrated her on Saturday with a Flamingo-Pinepapple party. I was excited when I chose this theme. We had fruit in waffle cones under a pineapple tree, flamingo grape skewers, veggie cups, a cheese tray, cupcakes, pineapple cookies, melt away cookies, flamingo and pineapple lollipops,  and pink lemonade. I thoroughly enjoyed buying everything and setting it up set to perfection for our little. I did so much DIY that I don't think I want to make another thing. She had a blast with all of her little friends. I was a bad momma and forgot to get a good picture of her in her outfit. By the end when I tried to catch up on all the photos I had forgot to take she was covered in cake and ready for a nap. I'll share what photos I did get!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL

Weight: 20 pounds and 15 ounces

Height: 30.5 inches

Clothes: 12-18 months and size 5/6 shoe

Food: Every possible table food it seems like. She eats all day long. Grapes and strawberries have been her go to here lately. Still loves her squeeze pouches of fruits and veggies(especially squeezing them all over the car). Still nursing when she wakes up, before bed, and whenever she wakes at night.

Sleep: Goes down between 8:30pm and 9pm. Wakes around 8am. Naps twice a day for about an hour or two each time. Wakes twice in the night, which is really progress for us! The past 4 nights she has slept through the night! Praise Jesus!

+She now has 4 teeth and I think working on some more somewhere in there.

+She says: Dada, Mama, dog, thank you, bye bye and Hi

+Her silly personality has really started to shine. She cracks me up all the time.

+Extremely friendly, will go to anyone, and wave to everyone. I will definitely have to be teaching stranger danger.

+Loves anything to do with phones and remotes even though we are constantly taking them away from her. Maybe toy ones would be a good birthday gift?

+She would live outside if I let her.

+The 3 pups and her are the best of friends. Probably because she plays tug of war, feeds them all her snacks, and gives them kisses the way they do her.

Sweet Brynn,
Today and Tomorrow is all about you baby girl. As I write this with tears in my eyes, I can't believe you have reached a year old. I still remember hearing your cry for the first time and your daddy bringing you over to me. This year has flown by incredibly too fast. I tried so hard to soak in every second, but I think I fell short. Although, I still remember your newborn smell, the way you felt curled up in my arms, and the way I felt every day knowing you were mine and I was yours. Your joyous spirit has helped me through many days. This next year I will soak in every second more than I did the last. I love you and love you and love you and love you more each day.  Happy Birthday my pretty princess! Now, let's go Fla'mingle'!

3 years down.

I was 19 and you were 21 when I first laid eyes on you. With all the crazy who would have thought a friendship would turn into a love I could never let go of. God did. That's who.

3 years ago we said 'I Do'. We anticipated that day for so long. We planned exactly what we wanted to the T. You handled this crazy bride-to-be with such grace. I still remember all the butterflies in my tummy as I was walking towards you. My dad holding my hand knowing he was giving me away to someone nothing less than perfect for me. Exchanging vows, rings dropped in the sand, and blankies given was the perfect beginning to the kiss that sealed me to you for life.

Here we are now a family of 3 with a well traveled whirlwind love. There isn't anyone else I would rather be on this adventure with(I know I say that ALL THE TIME). I stand behind you and beside you 100% because that is part of being the wife God designed me to be. I was there then, now, and forever with a happy heart for whatever lies ahead. Going forward in life with you is my excitement. I thought I loved you the day we got engaged, got married, and had Brynn. Boy, I still continue falling more in love with you. Thank you for always loving me through it all and being it. Happy anniversary my sweet man. I love you!
