Brynn's [SEVEN] Month Update

Tuesday, February 24, 2015

Weight: 17.5 lbs(as of 2/10/15)

Height: 27.1 in(as of 2/10/15)

Food:
We are still EBF. She nurses about every 2 to 3 hours. Getting 2 ounces of baby food at lunch and 2 ounces at dinner. Sweet Potatoes seem to be her favorite food yet. We have started an ounce of meat at lunch time and she gobbles it up quick.

Sleep: Brynn is such a night owl staying up until midnight. No complaints most nights though since it fits our current lifestyle. She now is officially on to 3 one hour naps a day. Still waking every 3-5 hours at night to nurse. She loves to cover her face with her blankie when she sleeps. Which makes me constantly check on her.

We had to lower her bed all the way down since she knows how to pull herself up now.

She cruises all over the house so quick in her walker.

A solid 6-9 month clothing with some 9 month being too short, but big in the body.

As of February 18th she left the scoot behind and upgraded to the crawl. Which has resulted in lots of bumps and scrapes.

She can stand by herself for a few seconds.

She is so happy that when she has little meltdowns I freak out.

She loves to eat her socks.

The Dr. assured us that those teeth should be breaking through any day now.

Typical kid that rather play with shoes and water bottles than all the toys she has. She picks up a toy, throws it aside and takes off crawling after anything but.

I woke up one day during the coming of her 7th month and realized she looked like such a big girl. No longer an infant, but a baby. Boy did it break my little heart. Happy, sad all in one. Happy 7 months sweet girl! You'll be one before we know it and I sure am not ready. I love your sweet, silly personality. Being your momma is the greatest, hardest thing I've ever done. You make our lives worth it. We love you SO much.

Dashing through the snow...

Friday, February 20, 2015

….in a one horse open sleigh. Ok, so minus the horse.

One Sunday we headed out to Germany to go sledding at a Ski Resort with some friends. Brad and Brynn (obviously) had never been sledding before. I was so excited to bring back my Iowa loving snow days. Not going to lie when I got on there I was a little scared. Most of the kids around were so fearless flying in the air and flipping over. One day I will re live that. I extremely enjoy doing things our current home has to offer. Glad to check this off the list.

Just like I am obsessed with fall colored trees snow covered trees just the same for me.

We had such a blast! As usual Brynn loved the snow. I can't wait to take her sledding again when she is bigger.

Writing my title I really wanted to put xoxo, Gossip Girl. COME BACK(insert whining face).

Now onto the real reason for this post.

Brad played in the All-Star game on Valentine's Day. So, we had our celebration Valentine's Eve and the morning of. Brynn of course was dressed in her Valentine's Eve Day outfit during the day and Valentine's Eve Pjs while we watched Equalizer. Brynn and I woke up on Valentine's to Brad missing so we rushed to set up his Valentine we put together for him.

14 hearts with 14 reasons I love him along with some favorite candies.

Once Brad arrived back home he came in with a beautiful bouquet mix of daises, roses, and tulips. He also bought my favorite chocolate, and gummy bears. The wine is to go with our chocolate fondue (which my mom sent in a care package that still hasn't arrived) date. Moscato will always be my favorite after all the kinds I've tasted.

I made banana panacakes that Brynn was very impressed by for our Valentine's breakfast.

We got ready for the day to head to Brads All-Star game where you know Brynn was rockin' her best Valentine's day fit.

Our perspective of Valentine's has definitely changed over the years since dating. We really went all out our first dating, first married, and last before baby. 5 Valentine's in and all I want is to spend the precious time with my man and now our littlest Valentine. Every day my love for these two grows stronger and stronger. Having Brad and Brynn is the best Valentine's gift that just keeps on giving.

Hope all of you had a wonderful day full of love!

Girls trip to Paris

Monday, February 9, 2015

HAPPY MONDAY! Finally getting around to share Paris trip #2.

I waited all my life to go to Paris and now I have been there twice in the past month in a half! SAY WHAT?!

The minute my friend Jayda(from college) and her mom found out they were visiting we immediately started planning our trip to Paris. We decided on a short trip so they could see other parts of Europe, but knew we wanted to cram in as much as possible.

SO let me be honest, Brynn didn't do so great on the train or being dragged around all day. It had to of made me a better mom. At least I am counting on that anyway. I decided that will be the last time I travel with Brynn alone. Unless I'm forced to of course. None the less we hit a lot of hot spots and even got to see two things that I didn't get to my first time around. I was impressed by how much I remembered and being a haas at the metro system. We had such a good girls trip. I am thankful to have had some much needed girls time. Plus, a first of friends coming to see us in Europe! Yep, all the rest of you I'm calling you out. ;) Get your booties here ASAP.

Oh you know, photo dumpin' on ya……

At the train station in Luxembourg headed to Paris!
Our first meal at Le Deauville on the Champs de Elysee and it was so delicious! Brynn was a huge fan of our waiter too.
We then headed to the Louvre.

Brynn enjoying the beautiful art all around her.

 Aphrodite
I still can't get over I saw the Mona Lisa in person.

After our Museum wandering we got some late night crepes. Banana and Nutella for me, please!

We woke up early and headed to see the Eiffel Tower from a different view I had never seen. The view never gets old.

Made the must have bakery stop for some goods.

Brynn wasn't having the cold at this point. So I made a mommy decision and spent some time in the hotel letting her relax.

Once she was geared up and ready to go Jamie(Jaydas mom) and I headed to the Sacre de Coeur before leaving back to Lux.

I was absolutely in awe. The inside was even better, but no photography allowed to be taken.

The most amazing view of the city even through the fog.

Hope you enjoyed my recap of Paris trip #2! I finally have my travel page up and running so check it out.

Mom takes Europe

Monday, February 2, 2015

Missing my mom so much today. Well, every day. My moms time here went by insanely fast. We had such a blast taking her around and showing her our lifestyle. We made sure to take her to Cologne, Germany, Trier, Germany and all around Luxembourg. We should have gotten her to Belgium or France with them being so close, but we wanted days to just lay around. Oh and you know we had to indulge in many pastries!

Brynn and my mom picked their relationship up right where it left off. Late night snuggles while my mom sings her favorite worship songs was my favorite to watch. My mom watched Brynn while letting Brad and I have 3 nights in 10 days to ourselves. Thats a miracle in itself! It was such a sad time to drop her off at the airport. Praying the next 3 months fly by to when Brynn and her grams are reunited! I also will be pretty selfish when first getting home in hogging my mom. No shame.

Photo dumping the best way I know how….
