Happening Lately

I have really been stuck with writing lately. Yes, I know my blog is majority of my kiddo and travel. I do like to write about other things on my heart too. I think I have really been living in the now and basking in everything going on around me. I'll give just a little catch up of random things happening over here across the pond.

The annual fair is here in Luxembourg for about a month. We checked it out on half price family day. We enjoyed tons of food and people watching. Lines were pretty long so we didn't get to put B on any of the few little kid rides. Hoping to make it back without B so we can ride some rides. I'm a sucker for the carnival hype.

I am absolutely loving our garden in front of our place. I could eat all the tomatoes in the world. On another note is this zucchini not massive?! They were all this big. I've barely gone through half after making the pan of baked zucchini. I did half with paprika, salt and pepper. The other half parmesan, garlic, salt and pepper. So yummy to save and heat up for a snack.

I was blessed by my sweet hubs to have a girls day trip to Saarbrucken, Germany with no baby. We indulged in pizza, Starbucks and lots of clothes. Primark is one of the greatest stores I've stumbled upon. Between getting stuck in traffic, rain to sunshine and Swedish candy this trip was just right.

I've tempted some decorating for cheap in our place. Brynn undoubtedly figured how to get those lights that are hooked with command strips down. Now I need to re-strategize that. I've got one strong, smart baby on my hands. My sad attempt at a Pinterest heart made out of photographs to help liven up our bedroom. I need to print out some more pictures to fill in my gaps. At leafs the shape is in theirght direction? Yeah, no.

Our routine nightly reading sesh going on. She gets her paci when we pull out the books. The best I could get was a smile behind the paci. Brad has been gone the past two weekends for pre-season. Of course we are getting lots of girl time and snuggles in.

Next up, a post on our Bock Casemates here in Lux. Have a blessed day you guys!

Guess who's back, back again

Home sweet Luxembourg. We are all around grateful to be coming back to a situation we already know the ins and outs to. We were more so fly by the seat of our pants without little miss Brynn. Our friends here welcomed us with food stocked up and a wonderful table set up for the three of us.

We also came home to a newly renovated apartment. We were happy with our apartment prior to, but boy is it glorious!!

Brynn has adjusted well. I was really feeling down the week leading up to our departure. Feeling like once again I am taking Brynn away from what she knows and where she is comfortable. Kiddos sure do adjust easily and quickly. It's the mommas who fret. Everyday I tell her that this is her home again, but that soon we will go back to Texas. Tell her all about the friends she made here before and that they are ready to play. Every night I lay her in her bed. I nuzzle her neck, tell her I love her and that her new bed is so wonderful.
As you can see Brynn is back in action as her old self.

We are truly looking forward to our second season here. It has been a lot easier settling back in since we have been here before. Maybe I forgot how hard first times in a new place can be. I know God has amazing things in store in both our personal lives and basketball lives. I'm ready to buckle down on finances, travel our little hearts out and enjoy life just the 3 of us.

Here's to our fifth season abroad. Where "see ya laters" never get easier and times get sweeter.

One thing I really wanted to do before we headed back across the pond was to take Brynn to the zoo. We have a small zoo about an hour away from us that I decided would be perfect. I mean, sneaking in an Old Navy trip all in the same trip sure makes it worth every second in the car. I think Brynn had just reached the right age to really notice the animals. If I would have let her jump those fences she would have been all in. The carousel ride and train ride weren't too shabby either in her opinion. How many of the same pictures can you take with every animal? TONS! I'll spare you all of them and share some of my favorites.

That is a monkey and I am pretty sure they had a connection. She is quite the monkey herself sometimes.

I know one thing is for sure… I am so happy to be out of 105 degree weather and in the 80s!
