Berlin, Germany

Wednesday, March 15, 2017

I was so thankful my sweet friend Sara, from Finland, and I were able to have a meet up. Once a year we try to find time to see each other since our quick bestie friendship in Finland. We found a wonderfully located hotel, Hotel Berlin, Berlin. It was extremely nice for a great price! We hit Berlin by storm and saw literally every.single.thing. Wild, but fun!

We couldn't go without a stop to the aquarium and Aqua Dom.

An emotional, moving moment.

Easter Weekend Trip: Frankfurt, Germany

Thursday, March 31, 2016

I really haven't been feeling the blog thing lately. I figure for now I'll just stick to a blog post for every trip we take to at least update family and friends. I feel like it's easier/better to photo dump here than all over Facebook. Easter weekend Brad got off 3 days straight. We took advantage and got one of our cities checked off our list. Frankfurt was wonderful. Yummy food, good shopping, beautiful weather and sights. We are pretty much go with the flow people and never really make a plan except what sights are in the city and where to park. We probably enjoyed sitting in the park basking in the sun while Brynn played the most. Here is the usual photo dumb, enjoy!
Eschenheimer Tower

There are guys all up and down the streets selling balloons. It's a trap I tell ya. She just had to have this balloon. I tried to get her to get the unicorn, but nope.

A Day Trip: Cochem, Germany

Monday, September 21, 2015

On Saturday this party of three set off for an hour in a half trip to small city Cochem, Germany. Now, it really is a lost gem. Such a quaint, gorgeous city. It sits on the Mosel River with the beautiful Reichsburg Castle sitting up on a hill. There was a wine festival going on which made the city a little overcrowded. That didn't stop us from being able to see everything and just enjoy the day. We didn't have much of an agenda that day. We had lunch, dessert and wandered all over. There were quite a few small parks. So, we stopped there with Brynn. Until she started to eat the rocks and sand that is. We walked up to the castle which took 20 minutes with an extremely steep road. Lots of panting and sweating went on. Later seeing that there was a city bus that took you right up to the entrance of the castle. Once we got up there it was completely worth the view. The castle was also surrounded by vineyards. We got to witness a bride and her parents driving up in a vintage car for them to give her away at her wedding. All in all our day trip was just what we needed before the crazy, long season starts on Saturday.
