Easter weekend//The Netherlands(Holland)

Monday, April 6, 2015

I have been wanting to make our way to The Netherlands for quite some time to see flowers at Keukenhof. Brad played on a Friday so we were able to have 3 days off in a row(shocker)! Not only were we able to see the tulip gardens, but we were able to stay at a hotel on the beach in Noordwijk and visit friends in Leiden.

The first day we arrived it was raining off and on while being pretty cold outside. You know that didn't stop us from heading down to the beach. Brynn loved the sand, but as usual hates the wind.

We hurried up to this amazing all you can eat Japanese restaurant for lunch. They gave us a tablet and you can order 5 dishes per person every 10 minutes for 2 hours. Of course after an hour we were way past done. I really think San Angelo needs a place like this! We ate so much, but it was our one splurge meal. Worth every penny and every tap on that tablet.

For dinner we headed to our friends in Leiden and explored that area a little bit. These pictures Brad took on his cell phone and I am way too impressed by his skills.

Easter Sunday we woke up and walked across to the beach one more time before heading to Keukenhof. The weather was amazing! We realized it was too warm for our big coats, thank you Jesus.
Brynn opted for an Easter onesie instead of the dress getup.

I don't even know where to begin with Keukenhof. Yes, a lot of flowers still weren't all the way in bloom, but I do not care. It was gorgeous. Just to walk around with all the green and beautiful flowers that were there. So much yummy dutch food and tradition going on around us. I could gush all day. I have wanted to go for so long and I am so glad we made the trip. I obviously can't post every picture so I'll give you a run down of my favorites.

He needed a picture by these because of the Lakers colors.

Right before she tried to pick the Tulips.

Van Gogh inspired selfie garden.

Now go get your booties to The Netherlands.

Brynn has finally been introduced to one of her favorites…. THE BEACH! She is destined to continue this love; her daddy is from Florida, Grams family lives in Florida, and momma has always loved the beach.

Now, she wasn't a huge fan of the wind at the beach. but didn't quite mind the water. She would make the silliest noises which are the same as when we first gave her a big girl bath in all the water. I had to share with you guys my TOP 5 favorite photos of her first time.

Florida Dreamin'

Thursday, October 2, 2014

Tomorrow afternoon we are off to the Tampa area!

I have been looking forward to this trip since we booked the flights back in May. We will get to see a lot of my moms family and soak up some much needed sunshine/beach time.

It is Brynn's first flight, but I know she will do great. Her being only 10 weeks will make it that much easier. Especially since I will be holding her and she is happy go lucky anytime a person holds her. I have taken lots of advice to feed her taking off and landing to help with her ears. She isn't too much into her toys yet, but loves to look /feel them. So, I've decided I'm bringing some along in her diaper bag. I'll be wrapping her on in my Solly baby wrap and there we go! We will both be much happier that way.

Now, packing for 2 for 11 days in a suit case and carry-on is quite interesting. We started off with our 2 5 day trips and I thought packing was hard then. I know this is all just preparing me to pack in 2 suitcases come end of October for 7 months. You definitely learn what you need want and don't as the trips go on.

Next up I'll more than likely be blogging from Florida with some gorgeous pictures I am sure. I'll leave you with some Brynn cuteness to end your day. :)

Brynn is so excited for our trip!

Do any of you have tips/tricks for flying/packing with an infant?

Five on Friday

Friday, February 21, 2014

WELL, HELLO FROM BEAUTIFUL FLORIDA!

Extremely late on 5 on Friday and MIA from this blog life. SO many times the whirlwind of life has me caught up and I don't sit down to write. Mainly this post is a photo dump. Pictures sometimes do better talking.

{ONE} We FINALLY made it to Florida late Tuesday night and boy was I glad. I not only was back with my sweet husband who left a few days earlier, but it was BEACH TIME! I actually braved getting into a swimsuit and showing off that almost 19 week bump. My little girl seems like she has grown so very much with how huge my belly feels since 16 weeks.
Almost 19 weeks, woah baby!

I guess mom was saying, "It's a baby in there!"

My mom, my sweet cousin Makenzie, and I.

{TWO} After the beach we went to Snow Balls. This is the most amazing snow cone place in the Madeira Beach area. Snow cones in February is my cup of tea. You can get ice cream with your snow cone and even get it spiked! Which I have yet to experience. Maybe after this sweet babe is born and we are back in October.

{THREE} Thankful to be with my family during these times of my Grandpa having surgery and my Uncle. We are blessed with God fearing friends/family that prayed their butts off. Please to report that both are home from the hospital and recovering miraculously! Praise you Jesus!

{FOUR} My sweet sweet grandma turned 79 today! I woke up to go grab her Starbucks and Flowers. We did lunch just some of us girls in the family and had a party/dinner tonight. She is truly one of the most amazing women I know. I just love her to pieces. So pleased we could be here for her birthday.
Birthday princess with her coffee :)

{FIVE} I can't help, but continue to thank God for having us home during all of these times. By no means would I wish Brads injury, but let me tell you the Lord had some other plans in mind. Learning to be open and follow the Lords plan not my own has humbled me. Being home during my pregnancy has brought me amazing amounts of comfort. Our family has blessed us this week with so many awesome things for sweet baby B. Blessed beyond belief and can't wait to see the next place the Lord takes us after baby B is born!

+ I'll be back soon with updates and tons of photos of the rest of our Florida trip. I don't think I'm ready for reality come Wednesday!
